How to start with Flowtra Task
Sign up, download the WhatsApp extension, install it in Chrome, and work starts. About 15 minutes. Free for 30 days.
Installation, step by step
Sign up for the free trial
Open Flowtra Task sign-up. Type your business name, your name, mobile, a username and a password. Keep the tick on sample data if you want to explore first. Press Start free trial. Your own private account opens on the Getting started page. Nobody else can see your data.
Download the extension
On the Getting started page press Download Flowtra Task extension. Do this on the computer where your business WhatsApp is open in Google Chrome (WhatsApp Web). A zip file is saved in Downloads. Your account address is already inside it.
Unzip it to a folder you keep
Right-click the zip → Extract All (Windows) or double-click it (Mac). Move the folder to a place you will not delete, for example Documents\Flowtra Task. Chrome uses this folder every day.
Add it to Chrome
Open Chrome and type
chrome://extensionsin the address bar. Switch on Developer mode (top right). Click Load unpacked and choose the folder from the last step (the one with manifest.json inside). The extension appears in the list. Click the puzzle icon at the top right of Chrome and pin it.Sign in to the extension
Click the Flowtra Task icon. The address is filled in (
https://flowtra.in/Flowtra_Task). Type the same username and password as the website and press Sign in. Each person who uses WhatsApp Web on their own computer signs in with their own login.Open WhatsApp Web
Open web.whatsapp.com in the same Chrome and scan the QR code with your business phone, as usual. A small “Flowtra Task on” badge shows at the bottom left. Keep this computer on with Chrome open during work hours.
Work starts
New messages are read within seconds. Jobs appear in Work list and Inbox within a minute; messages the AI is not sure about wait for you with the reason. The Getting started page ticks each step off as it happens.
Your team and phones
Add your staff with their own logins (only the rights they need). Open the website on each phone, sign in, and turn on notifications. On iPhone first use Share → Add to Home Screen.
Start for real
When you are happy, press Clear sample data on Getting started. Your logins and settings stay.
How a normal day works
Customer sends a job on WhatsApp
Text, photo, PDF or voice note, in Gujarati, Hindi or English. It is added to the Work list with customer, product, quantity, size and delivery date, and the chat stays with it.
Check what the AI was not sure about
Inbox → Needs review and New contacts (unknown numbers). Choose the customer once; next time it knows.
Team works from the list
Late, Today, Tomorrow at the top. Progress: New → In progress → Ready → Delivered. By employee shows who has what.
Promises are remembered
“Design aaje sanje moklu chu” becomes a reminder for that person. Late promises and upset customers show at the top.
Bill at month end
Add to bill → tick a customer’s delivered jobs → check rates → draft invoice in Zoho Books.
If something does not work
The “Load unpacked” button is not there
Switch on Developer mode at the top right of chrome://extensions.
Chrome says “Manifest file is missing”
You chose the outer folder. Choose the folder that has manifest.json inside it.
No badge on WhatsApp Web
Reload the WhatsApp Web tab after installing the extension. Check the extension is switched on in chrome://extensions.
The badge says “sign in”
Click the extension icon and sign in again with your username and password.
Messages are not coming in
The computer must be on with Chrome and WhatsApp Web open. Open the chat once if it has not been opened since the extension was installed.
Trial ended
For 15 days after the trial you can still see everything (changes are paused). Contact us to continue: nothing is lost.
